Project Linus Donates Infant Blankets

This morning, Karen Mayeux, Chapter Coordinator for Project Linus in Beaumont, TX, donated a dozen handmade quilts for infants at the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, CHRISTUS Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth. Project Linus’ mission is to provide a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are ill or traumatized through the gifts of handmade blankets created by volunteer “blanketeers.”

Mayeux recently chartered the Beaumont chapter and was quickly joined by Patti Parks, Rose Doucet, and Rebecca Rabalais. These women created the beautiful, handmade quilts shown below. Each blanket includes a small slip of paper with the name of the person who made it as well as a brief poem explaining where it came from.

We are extremely grateful for the countless hours spent sewing, knitting, and quilting blankets for the littlest patients in Beaumont. Thank you to the Beaumont chapter of Project Linus for helping provide extra comfort for our Pediatric and NICU patients and families!
