CHRISTUS Associates Care for Kids!

CHRISTUS associates from all over St. Elizabeth hospital have picked up their new CHRISTUS Cares for Kids shirts. By purchasing a shirt, each associate made a donation to the Child Life Department through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

The Certified Child Life Specialist at CHRISTUS Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth, Ashley Bares, helps infants, children, and families cope with the stress and uncertainty of their hospital stay. Bares provides age appropriate interventions including therapeutic play, preparation for procedures, and education to reduce fear, anxiety, and pain. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in Southeast Texas is proud to provide the Child Life Department with much-needed resources thanks to the support of our CHRISTUS family and participating community members.
