Pediatric Patient Wins Nationwide Contest

Every year, Multiplan, Inc invites pediatric patients at hospitals participating in any of MultiPlan’s PPO networks to submit holiday-inspired drawings. The drawings are posted on their website for the public to vote on and the five drawings that receive the most votes get published as holiday greeting cards. Then, MultiPlan donates these cards to all the hospitals that submitted entries. The hospitals are encouraged to use the cards in fundraising to support their pediatric programs. The winning artists also receive a prize! They get their very own set greeting cards, a framed print of their artwork and a cash prize.

This year, one of St. Elizabeth’s pediatric patients’ artwork was selected! 12-year-old Peyton’s Christmas drawing is now part of the set of cards distributed by MultiPlan. Children’s Miracle Network in Southeast Texas is selling the cards to help raise funds for sick and injured kids in our hospital. Peyton won a framed print of his masterpiece, a set of cards, and $50! The Pediatric department was awarded $200 and received 100 sets of greeting cards to sell. Congratulations, Peyton, and merry Christmas!
